Two ingredient dole whip. Dairy free, clean, and 21 Day Fix Friendly!

If you’ve ever been to Disney, I get it. The infamous Dole Whip is the most sought after snack on property! This was true for me as well, and I actually worked in Adventureland! Do you know the torture of watching people walk in front of you with that delicious pineapple goodness, while you smiled and wondered how many hours until your shift ended until you could get one yourself?188995_502595365699_1403_n

Me in 2008, sharing a Dole Whip float with a friend. 🙂

Now that I am no longer working for Mickey Mouse (but believe me, I’d love to again!), this remains one of my favorite treat. Here’s a version that I whipped up that has two ingredients (with my handy dandy super awesome Ninja!!) AND can fit into my new healthy lifestyle.

Oh, and if you want to throw a little cheating into it, you can add pineapple juice to make it a float! (If you’re doing 21 Day Fix, count it as a yellow swap. It’s worth it!)

When you say frozen pineapple do you mean that there is frozen bagged pineapple in the frozen frui section? Or do you freeze canned pineapple in another container ? Is it crushed pineapple or chunks?

I used the frozen bagged pineapple for mine. You could freeze fresh or canned pineapple in a baggie for at least a few hours. If you use canned pineapple, make sure it's in pineapple juice with no added syrup. You could use either the chunks or crushed, but drain the juice before freezing. :)

Hi! I was just curious of the 21 Day Fix container count. Above the recipe you state to count this recipe as 1 yellow, but in the recipe it counts as 1 purple. If you could clear this confusion up that'd be great!! Thanks!!

Hi there, Haylie - the yellow swap would be only if you added pineapple juice to the recipe (to make a float). If you skip the pineapple juice and just make it as the recipe states, then it would be a purple. I hope this helps!

Just wondering how the coconut milk factors into the 21 Day Fix? Would you also have to count it as a blue container?

Hi Brittany, I use to unsweetened coconut milk from the carton (found near the almond milk in the refrigerated section). 1 cup = 30 calories, so using only 1/3 of a cup, I wouldn't count it.

Ever tried it with other flavors?

Hi Ashleigh - I haven't done it formally, but my son often asks for "smoothies", which is the same concept (frozen fruit + milk/coconut milk) but just a little more liquidy. He loves it!
